Blake Bortles dealing with sprained shoulder for Jaguars

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles has been diagnosed with a sprained shoulder, though he played through the injury in Sunday's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

What It Means:

It's a Grade 1 AC join sprain for Bortles, an injury he could potentially continue to play through. His status for Week 6 is not known, but he is considered day-to-day. If he can't go, Chad Henne would likely get the call.

If Bortles was dealing with this issue Sunday, it didn't show much. He finished with 12.08 Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) for the game, one of his best games as a pro. Entering the contest, Bortles was 26th in Passing NEP per play out of 37 quarterbacks with at least 40 drop backs. The Jaguars will face the Houston Texans in Week 6.
