Isaiah Crowell joins Jets with 3-year contract

The New York Jets and running back Isaiah Crowell, formerly of the Cleveland Browns, agreed to terms on a 3-year contract, reports Adam Schefter of ESPN.

What It Means:

Crowell figures to replace Matt Forte (retirement) as the Jets' lead back on early downs. Bilal Powell will likely handle passing-down work while Elijah McGuire's role could grow in his second NFL season. This doesn't really move the needle on Crowell's fantasy value for 2018.

Crowell averaged 8.1 FanDuel points per game last season, with 206 rushes for 853 yards and 2 touchdowns, while also hauling in 28 catches (42 targets) for 182 scoreless yards.
