Report: Trey Burton, Bears agree to 4-year, $32 million contract
The Chicago Bears agreed to terms with tight end Trey Burton, formerly of the Philadelphia Eagles, on a 4-year, $32 million contract, reports Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
Burton made the most of limited opportunities in Philadelphia, filling in admirably whenever Zach Ertz was injured. He'll likely play a larger role in Chicago under new head coach Matt Nagy, who made the tight end position a focal point of the offense during his tenure with the Kansas City Chiefs. The Bears also reportedly signed Allen Robinson on Tuesday afternoon.
Burton averaged 4.9 FanDuel points per game last season, with 23 catches (31 targets) for 248 yards and 5 touchdowns.
