Giants' linebacker Jon Beason leaves with possible concussion
New York Giants' middle linebacker Jon Beason left Sunday night's Week 5 game with a possible concussion.
Beason was injured on a helmet-to-helmet hit on San Francisco 49ers' running back Carlos Hyde, after which he got up slowly. His return is questionable. Uani' Unga replaced Beason immediately. Beason was out in Weeks 1 and 2 with a knee injury.
The Giants' defense ranked 12th in the league in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points (NEP) per play coming into Week 5's action. In rotational snaps in Week 4, Beason had three combined tackles.
