Seattle Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor is not expected to retire during the offseason.
Chancellor suffered a career-threatening neck injury in Week 10. Coach Pete Carroll has gone so far as to say that it will be tough for him to play in the NFL again. But, for now, he's going to remain with Seattle and almost certainly start the season on the reserve/PUP list. He's due $12 million in guaranteed money.
Over 9 starts, Chancellor tallied 33 tackles, 2 passes defensed, 1 forced fumble and 1 safety in 2017.
