According to Philly.com's Zach Berman, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz said he's "hopeful" about playing Week 1 next season.
Talking to reporters for the first time since suffering his injury, Wentz said that he tore his ACL and LCL. He added that his timetable is fluid at this time and that he wont' change his playing style when he returns. Wentz is understandably "thrilled" for his fill-in Nick Foles, who has performed admirably in leading the Eagles to the Super Bowl.
In 2017, Wentz threw for 3,296 yards and 33 touchdowns. On the ground, he tallied an additional 299 yards in 13 starts.
