Josh McCown plans to play in 2018, return to Jets on table
New York Jets impending free agent quarterback Josh McCown said he plans to continue playing in 2018.
McCown, who turns 39 in July, added that a return to the Jets is a possibility. "A lot of decisions have to be made within the next few months, but I loved being there, and we'll see how it plays out," the veteran quarterback said. McCown could wind up serving as a fallback plan or bridge for a younger option, but the Jets are expected to pursue an upgrade under center in free agency.
McCown averaged 16.5 FanDuel points in 13 games this season, with 2,926 passing yards, 18 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions. He also added 124 rushing yards and 5 scores on the ground.
