Karlos Williams in concussion protocol for Bills
Buffalo Bills general manager Doug Whaley said rookie running back Karlos Williams is in the league's concussion protocol.
Williams reportedly sustained the concussion in the team's loss to the New York Giants. His status for Week 5 is uncertain. The team will also likely be without fellow running back LeSean McCoy, who will miss another few weeks due to a hamstring strain. This could trickle carries down to Boobie Dixon and Cierre Wood if Williams can't go.
This is a shame for Williams and the Bills as he had been tearing it up through the first four games. He is currently second in both Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) and Rushing NEP per play among the 54 running backs with at least 20 carries. Our projections have been scaled back on Williams due to the uncertainty and now have him going for 41 yards and 0.31 touchdowns on the ground with 3 receptions for 19 yards.
