Ravens' Crockett Gillmore has a chance to play in Week 5
Baltimore Ravens tight end Crockett Gillmore (calf) has a "chance" to play in Week 5 against the Cleveland Browns, head coach John Harbaugh said Monday.
Calf strains can be tricky, as evidenced by Victor Cruz, Marshawn Lynch, Reggie Bush, and Alshon Jeffery this season. Even with their pass-catcher corps in a state of depletion, the Ravens need to take a cautious approach to Gillmore's return. With Gillmore out against the Steelers last Thursday night, Maxx Williams was the Ravens' lead tight end but rotated with Nick Boyle.
Through three weeks, Gillmore led all tight ends in Reception Net Expected Points Per Target at 1.26. We don't see him maintaining that type of production, though, pegging him for 33 catches, 368 yards and 2 touchdowns the rest of the way.
