San Diego's Ladarius Green will still have a role with Antonio Gates back
San Diego Chargers tight end Ladarius Green has earned a role when Antonio Gates returns from his suspension, at least according to quarterback Philip Rivers.
"He has had a heck of a (three) games," Rivers stated. "He really has. ... I certainly don't anticipate him on staying on sideline."
Gates is due back next Monday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Green has caught 14-of-18 targets for 174 yards and 2 touchdowns in three games, missing one with a concussion. Through Week 3, Green's Reception Net Expected Points Per Target of 0.88 ranked seventh among tight ends.
