Cowboys expect Lance Dunbar to miss rest of season

Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said Monday the Cowboys "anticipate" running back Lance Dunbar (knee) missing the rest of the season.

What It Means:

Dunbar went down with the injury on the opening kick-off of the second half. The team is fearing that Dunbar tore his ACL and also possibly his MCL.

Dunbar had garnered 23 targets through the team's first three games of the season, good for second on the team. He had turned those into 11.17 Reception Net Expected Points prior to the injury. His snaps in the passing downs will likely end up in the hands of Darren McFadden or Christine Michael.
