Saints' C.J. Spiller wins it with walk-off 80-yard touchdown grab
New Orleans Saints running back C.J. Spiller hauled in an 80-yard touchdown pass in overtime to give the Saints a 26-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys.
Spiller's game-ending catch came on a wheel route where he beat a linebacker in coverage and outraced everyone for the score.
Prior to the walk-off, Spiller had a quiet night, totaling just 29 yards outside of the 80-yarder. He finished with 5 catches for 99 yards and 2 carries for 10 yards. After an injury-riddled preseason, Spiller is healthy, and we're starting to see how the Saints will deploy him, which is as a pass-game specialist. He finished the game as the Saints' top receiver in Reception Net Expected Points at 8.18.
