Rams down Cardinals behind Todd Gurley's 146 yards
Running back Todd Gurley rushed for 146 yards on 19 carries in the St. Louis Rams' 24-22, Week 4 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
Making his first start ever in the National Football League, Gurley was a revelation as the Rams rode him to a narrow victory over the Cardinals. He was an excellent clock-killer in the last few minutes of the game, even showing the awareness to give himself up in bounds in order to keep the clock running. He is special, and his value can only rise from here.
Gurley's per-carry yardage so far is a whopping 7.7 yards per carry. The Arizona Cardinals defense ranked sixth in the league in per-play schedule-adjusted Defensive Rushing Net Expected Points coming into the week, so this is by no means a performance to sniff at, especially when put into context. He'll be a top-20 back for sure going forward.
