Raiders relieve Jack Del Rio of coaching duties following Week 17 loss
Oakland Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio has been fired by the team following a 6-10 season.
Del Rio and the Raiders were expected to contend for a playoff spot in the AFC West, after finishing 12-4 in 2016 but struggled as they finished with the worst record in the three seasons of Del Rio at the helm. The team is expected to try an lure Jon Gruden away from the broadcast booth and hire him as JDR's replacement.
The Raiders ranked 25th in defense, 18th in offense, and 24th overall, according to our metrics heading into Week 17.
