Giants reportedly planning to move on from Eli Apple this offseason

Cornerback Eli Apple's future with the New York Giants is in doubt according to Josina Anderson of ESPN.

What It Means:

According to Anderson's team source, "[Apple] will not be in an NYG uniform next year. Dude is done with NYG. Done." Although the Giants haven't hired a new general manager yet, it's abundantly clear that Apple has worn out his welcome in New York. It was reported earlier today that Apple refused to practice with the scout team, leading to a Week 17 suspension, and teammate Landon Collins referred to him as a "cancer" on Tuesday.

Apple finishes 2017 with 41 tackles and 8 passes defensed in 11 games and 7 starts.
