Chargers' Melvin Gordon (ankle) 'optimistic' about playing Week 17
Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon is "optimistic" that he will play in Week 17, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Gordon's status is up in the air after spraining his ankle. He was seen in a walking boot over the holiday, but Rapoport's reporting that swelling was minimal so that might explain Gordon's optimism. If he can't go, though, Branden Oliver would take on all he can handle with Austin Ekeler (hand) also out.
At $8,400, our models project Gordon for 8.9 FanDuel points against the Oakland Raiders at this time. He's averaging 16.2 FD points per game through 15 games this season.
