UCLA's Josh Rosen could return to school to avoid Browns selection

UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen is "hesitant to come out in [the 2018] draft" if the Cleveland Browns pursue him with the first overall pick, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

What It Means:

Rosen is still contemplating his decision to enter the upcoming draft, where he would almost certainly be a first-round selection. Rosen prefers a team situation similar to that of the New York Giants, however, and wants no part of the Browns, per Schefter. Rosen may be tempted to return to UCLA for his senior year if it meant avoiding Cleveland. ESPN's Todd McShay and Mel Kiper both project the college star in the top-five if he were to declare, and the winless Browns are a lock to draft a quarterback at some point.

2017 rookie DeShone Kizer has done nothing to dissuade his team from selecting a player like Rosen, posting -0.18 Passing Net Expected Points per drop back this season – the worst mark among 35 quarterbacks to drop back at least 200 times in 2017.
