Chargers' Hunter Henry has lacerated kidney and his status is 'up in the air'
Los Angeles Chargers coach Anthony Lynn announced that tight end Hunter Henry has a "small" laceration in his kidney and that his status is "up in the air."
Based on Lynn's comments, Henry's status remains uncertain, but at the very least he looks to be in danger of missing Week 16 against the New York Jets. Antonio Gates would be pushed into a bigger role if Henry is sidelined.
Henry caught 3-of-3 targets for just 28 yards in the Chargers' Week 15 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
