NFL suspends Steelers' JuJu Smith-Schuster one game for violating safety-related rules
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster has been suspended one game for violating the league's safety-related rules.
Smith-Schuster went high as he hit Vontaze Burfict on a crack-back block during Monday night's win over the Cincinnati Bengals. He was flagged for the hit and for taunting as he stood over the Bengals linebacker. Burfict left the game on a stretcher and was examined for a head injury. Smith-Schuster will reportedly appeal the suspension, but if he's kept out Eli Rogers and Martavis Bryant would see more snaps and targets in the Pittsburgh passing game.
The rookie wideout put up 3.7 FanDuel points on 4 catches and 5 targets against the Bengals. If he's permitted to play in Week 14, Smith-Schuster will run $6,600 in a matchup with the Baltimore Ravens.
