49ers' C.J. Beathard moving to the bench with Jimmy Garoppolo starting on Sunday
San Francisco 49ers quarterback C.J. Beathard will move to the bench in Week 13 as the Niners travel to Chicago to take on the Bears.
Beathard replaced Brian Hoyer as the team's starting quarterback in Week 7, but his reign as a starter wasn't a long one. He made an early exit with knee and hip issues last week, and there is no word yet on whether he'll be active as Jimmy Garoppolo's backup.
Beathard has completed 54.9% of his passes in his rookie season, racking up 1430 yards with 4 touchdowns and 6 interceptions through 6 games (5 starts).
