David Johnson (wrist) not progressing as hoped, unlikely to return for Cardinals this season
Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson (wrist, Injured Reserve) hasn't "made expected progress" and isn't expected to return this season, according to head coach Bruce Arians.
"None of the guys on IR have made expected progress in rehab, so as of today, no one is expected to return this season," Arians said. Johnson should be at 100 percent for offseason work but owners shouldn't count on him making it back in 2017.
Prior to going down in Week 1, Johnson tallied 91 yards on 11 rushes and 6 catches.
