Matt Forte (knee) not practicing for Jets on Wednesday
New York Jets running back Matt Forte (knee) is not practicing on Wednesday.
Forte didn't play in Week 10, and there was some hope he would be ready to return coming out of the Jets' bye, but this puts the veteran's status in doubt for Sunday's matchup with the Carolina Panthers. If Forte sits again, it'll likely be Bilal Powell and Elijah McGuire splitting most of the backfield work in Week 12.
Forte is averaging 10.5 FanDuel points across seven games this season, with 57 carries for 241 yards and 2 touchdowns, in addition to 29 receptions for 222 yards on 32 targets. Among the 57 running backs with at least 50 carries in 2017, he ranks 17th in terms of Rushing Net Expected Points per carry.
