Paxton Lynch

Broncos reportedly plan to start Paxton Lynch in Week 12

The Denver Broncos plan to start quarterback Paxton Lynch against the Oakland Raiders in Week 12, a source tells ESPN's Dan Graziano.

What It Means:

This comes a day after head coach Vance Joseph said Lynch was "ready to go." Last year's first-round pick spent the majority of the year on the shelf with a shoulder injury he suffered in the preseason. Lynch struggled in two starts as a rookie but the Broncos want to see what he's capable of, and things aren't getting any better with Brock Osweiler and Trevor Siemian at the helm. If Lynch gets the start, it would come against a Raiders defense that has struggled mightily this season.

In three games (two starts) as a rookie last year, Lynch completed 49-of-83 passes for 497 yards with 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. The Broncos are last in the NFL in Adjusted Offensive Net Expected Points per play this season.
