Washington Redskins running back Chris Thompson will need surgery after suffering a broken fibula in Sunday's game versus the New Orleans Saints.
What It Means:
Thompson was carted off the field with a cast on his right leg after getting rolled on by Sheldon Rankins on Sunday. With Rob Kelley already placed on injured reserve, Samaje Perine will likely be the Redskins top running back going forward.
