Dolphins waive Rey Maualuga after overnight arrest
Miami Dolphins linebacker Rey Maualuga is being waived in the aftermath of an overnight arrest in Miami.
Maualuga was arrested for an overnight battery. He had played six games after missing the first part of the season with conditioning issues. He has pretty much started for Miami, but he'll now become a free agent with a pending disciplinary issue to deal with. Mike Hull should be the one to step in for him at linebacker.
In 6 games, Maualuga had made 18 tackles. He was projected to add 11 more tackles over the rest of the season.
