49ers undecided on quarterback situation after Week 11 bye
San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said he has not decided who will start at quarterback following the bye in Week 11.
"I’m going to continue to work with Jimmy [Garoppolo] over the bye week, here and there," Shanahan said. "Then we’ll start the evaluation Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. But it’s not just about C.J [Beathard]. It’s not just about Jimmy. There’s a lot of things that go into it." Beathard led the 49ers to their first victory of the season on Sunday but most have expected the reins to be handed over to Garoppolo after the bye. San Francisco hosts the Seattle Seahawks in Week 12.
Beathard completed 19-of-25 passes for 288 yards with 2 touchdowns and 1 interception while adding 15 rushing yards and a score against the New York Giants in Week 10. Our models projected him for just 12.2 Fanduel points, but he greatly exceeded expectations with a 26.0-point performance on Sunday.
