Cardinals' David Johnson (wrist) to have cast removed on Monday
Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson (wrist surgery) is having his cast removed on Monday.
It's a significant step in Johnson's recovery, as doctors will then be able to reevaluate the injury and come up with a rehab plan. Johnson has said he wants to return no matter what this season, regardless of the Cardinals' record or playoff standing. Despite public pessimism from both head coach Bruce Arians and general manager Steve Keim, it's possible Johnson returns before the season is over.
Prior to going down in Week 1, Johnson tallied 91 yards on 11 rushes and 6 catches. numberFire's project him for 390.6 total yards and 2.27 touchdowns over the rest of the year, but that assumes he returns in Week 14.
