According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford will be placed on injured reserve, ending his 2017 season.
After undergoing arthroscopic surgery to clean up his injured knee, Bradford was expected to hit IR. The move clears up a roster spot for Teddy Bridgewater (knee), who is returning from the PUP list. While Case Keenum remains the team's starter, Bridgewater will serve as his backup down the stretch.
Bradford finishes the season 32-of-43 passing with 382 yards and 3 touchdowns. The majority of his production came in a Week 1 win over the New Orleans Saints.
