McClellin was dealing with an undisclosed injury that has now been diagnosed as a concussion. The head injury has held him out of the first nine weeks of the season, but it looks like he suffered a setback while working his way back. That will keep him on injured reserve and more than likely keep him out for the rest of the season. The Patriots' defense will continue to operate without McClellin versatility at linebacker.
