Denzel Perryman (ankle) expected to be activated for Chargers in Week 10
Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Denzel Perryman (ankle, injured reserve) is expected to be activated for Week 10 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Perryman has been on the shelf since suffering a severe ankle injury in the Chargers' preseason opener. The 2015 second-round pick also missed six games over his first two years in the league but has proven to be effective when healthy. It's an upgrade for San Diego's defense heading into a Week 10 matchup against Leonard Fournette and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Perryman racked up 138 tackles (25 assists) with 2 pass deflections, 1 interception, and 1 forced fumble in 26 games during his first two NFL campaigns. Entering Week 9, the Chargers ranked 18th in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points allowed per play.
