Panthers' Ed Dickson sees an opportunity to make plays

In speaking about the departure of wideout Kelvin Benjamin, Carolina Panthers tight end Ed Dickson said, "What I got from it was that there's an opportunity for younger guys to make plays now."

What It Means:

Dickson added, "When there's a spot missing, step up." On the outside, guys like Devin Funchess, Russell Shepard and Curtis Samuel will be asked to be more productive with Benjamin now in Buffalo. However, Dickson should be counted among those who could see more targets in the Panthers' new-look offense.

Over the last four games, Dickson was already drawing 5.8 targets a game. In only one of those, he turned in more than 36 yards and 4 catches. He's projected for 3.1 catches, 39.9 yards and 7 FanDuel points against the Atlanta Falcons. He comes at a cost of $4,900 this week.
