Colts expected to trade Vontae Davis
Indianapolis Colts defensive back Vontae Davis is expected to be traded before Tuesday's deadline, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Davis' play has regressed in recent seasons, but he could still be a valuable piece for a contending team and it would behoove the Colts to try and get a draft pick for a veteran in the final year of his contract. He turns 30 in May.
After missing the first three games due to injury, Davis has recorded 21 tackles (20 solo) with 2 deflected passes and 0 interceptions this season. As a team, the Colts rank dead-last in Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points allowed per play.
