Jon Beason expects to play Week 3 for Giants
New York Giants linebacker Jon Beason has said that he expects to play in Week 3, according to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News.
Beason started practicing at the end of last week and was expected to do so again Tuesday. He missed the first two games of the season with a knee injury and was limited to just four games in 2014.
The Giants could use Beason, as they currently rank 16th in Adjusted Defensive Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play and 22nd in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play. Though these marks are over a small sample size, they are improved over last season. A healthy Beason could potentially help that forward progress.
