Seahawks' OC: Thomas Rawls trying 'too hard' at times
Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said on Wednesday that running back Thomas Rawls seems to be trying "too hard" sometimes.
Bevell noted Rawls' enthusiasm and work ethic, but he suggests that sometimes players can try too hard, and that's what Rawls appears to be what is holding Rawls back from being successful and taking the lead role in Seattle. As he's dealt with an injury or two early on, he's failed to get more than 11 carries and average more than 3.3 yards per carry in any of his four games so far in 2017. For that reason, he and Eddie Lacy have continued to eat into each other's carries.
At a price tag of $5,400, Rawls is projected for 7.5 FanDuel points, or 1 fantasy point above the projected output of fellow back Eddie Lacy for this week.
