Packers' Josh Boyd has torn ankle ligaments and small fracture
Green Bay Packers defensive tackle Josh Boyd tore ligaments in his ankle and broke a small bone Sunday, and his season is "now in doubt," according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Boyd had been backing up B.J. Raji on the defensive line. The team will still be without Letroy Guion, as well, until he comes off of suspension in Week 4.
The Packers had struggled against the run in 2014, ranking 22nd in our schedule-adjusted Defensive Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play. After struggling against the Chicago Bears and Matt Forte in Week 1, the team held Seahawks' back Marshawn Lynch to -2.96 Rushing NEP on 15 carries Sunday. They will go up against Jamaal Charles and the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 3.
