49ers' Carlos Hyde heads to locker room with injury
Running back Carlos Hyde went to the San Francisco 49ers' locker room in the third quarter of Sunday's Week 2 game with an undisclosed injury.
Like the rest of the Niners' offense, Hyde has been getting beaten up all day. His return is questionable, and rookie Mike Davis got the ball on a series of goal-line attempts when Hyde exited the game. If the team is smart, they might not risk their young star's health in this 29-3 blowout.
Davis and rookie rugby convert Jarryd Hayne are the only two other active backs today. Hyde had 43 yards on 15 carries and 4 catches for 18 yards before his injury.
