Raiders sign Navorro Bowman following release from 49ers
The Oakland Raiders signed linebacker Navorro Bowman, formerly of the San Francisco 49ers, to a one-year, $3 million contract.
Bowman was reportedly scheduled to meet with the Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday, but that will no longer be necessary. He should provide an upgrade to the Raiders' linebacker unit, although the 29-year-old backer has proven to be a liability in the passing game. Bowman recorded 37 tackles (22 solo) for the 49ers this season before being released last week.
Prior to his release, numberFire's models projected Bowman to record 95.0 tackles, 1.2 sacks, 2.7 deflected passes, 0.7 interceptions, 1.0 forced fumbles, 0.7 fumbles recovered, and 0.08 defensive touchdowns.
