Teddy Bridgewater T. Bridgewater

Vikings will activate Teddy Bridgewater soon

The Minnesota Vikings will activate quarterback Teddy Bridgewater off the PUP list either this week or next week according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

What It Means:

With Sam Bradford potentially dealing with a career-threatening injury, Bridgewater's return is a welcome sight for Vikings fans, even with Case Keenum playing pretty well. Once Bridgewater is activated, the Vikings will have three weeks to place him on the activate roster, or stash him on the PUP list. Minnesota says they plan on Bridgewater playing this season, so unless there is a setback, expect his return to come around the beginning of November.

Bridgewater last played in the NFL in 2015, where he threw for 3,231 passing yards, 14 touchdowns, and 9 picks. He earned 48.47 Passing Net Expected Points that season, meaning a league average quarterback would have scored 48.47 fewer points than Bridgewater if put in similar situations.
