C.J. Beathard named the 49ers' starting quarterback the rest of the season
San Francisco 49ers rookie quarterback C.J. Beathard has been named the team's starting quarterback moving forward.
Beathard took over late in the first half for a struggling Brian Hoyer. He led a late charge, pulling the Niners within 2 points before they ultimately lost 26-24. Beathard was a third-round pick from Iowa in the 2017 NFL Draft.
Beathard finished 19-for-36 with 245 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception for 14.2 FanDuel points on Sunday.
