The Arizona Cardinals have released running back Chris Johnson, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The move comes after Arizona's acquisition of running back Adrian Peterson via trade. The newly-added back figures to get the bulk of the carries as Andre Ellington backs him up. At 32 years old, Johnson might have played his last NFL game.
In 4 games, Johnson ran for just 114 yards on 45 carries. The Cardinals' rushing attack ranks next-to-last in the league, according to our metrics.
