Patriots' Rob Gronkowski (thigh) not expected to play on Thursday
New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski (thigh) is not expected to play on Thursday, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Earlier reports indicated he would try to play but could be limited. Now it appears he won't suit up at all, due to the short week. Gronkowski has been trending in the wrong direction all week with a thigh contusion. Dwayne Allen will start at tight end with Danny Amendola likely seeing more targets in the slot.
Gronkowski has 20 catches for 318 yards and 2 touchdowns on 30 targets so far in 2017.
