Jameis Winston-DeSean Jackson connection a work in progress for Tampa Bay

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston said, "I've just got to get on track with him" when discussing he and wide receiver DeSean Jackson's connection issues through three games.

What It Means:

Following the Buccaneers Week 4 win over the New York Giants, Winston made it known that winning is key but that it's obvious he needs to get Jackson the ball. In talking about the subject, Jackson said that "it's early" and "When the time comes, hopefully we'll get clicking and we'll see how it goes." He and Adam Humphries are tied for second on the team with 20 targets on the year.

On his opportunities, Jackson has hauled in just 9 balls for 143 yards and a score. But, as he and Winston pointed out, the Buccaneers have only played 3 games so chemistry could come with time. At a cost of $6,500 in Week 5, our models project Jackson for 3.2 catches, 46.2 yards, 0.36 touchdowns and 8.3 FanDuel points as the team hosts the New England Patriots on Thursday night.
