Zach Strief

Saints place Zach Strief (knee) on IR

The New Orleans Saints have placed right tackle Zach Strief on injured reserve, according to ESPN's Field Yates.

What It Means:

With left tackle Terron Armstead mending a shoulder injury, the Saints are yet to deploy an offensive line at full strength this season. There's no telling how long they'll be without Strief's services, but Ryan Ramczyk will move to the right side as Senio Kelemete enters at left guard and Andrus Peat plays left tackle for New Orleans.

Strief has started at least 15 games from 2013 to 2016. The Saints are 2nd in the NFL with a sack percentage of just 2.6% through 4 weeks of play. It will be interesting to see if Strief's absence presents any problem for Drew Brees and the Saints' passing game.
