Doug Martin eligible to return this week for Buccaneers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin has completed his four-game suspension and is eligible to return in Week 5 against the New England Patriots.
Martin will come into Thursday night fresh, which should mean he'll get the ball a lot in a big game for the Bucs. Jacquizz Rodgers, Charles Sims, and Peyton Barber all stand to see their snap counts decrease with his return. Nothing is official, but it looks like Martin will be active and starting on Thursday against New England.
Our models project Martin to post 596.1 yards on 158.7 carries, and 4.6 touchdowns on the ground, to go with 270.8 receiving yards on 32.4 catches over the remainder of the season.
