Marcedes Lewis expected to remain big red-zone target for Jacksonville
ESPN beat reporter Mike DiRocco expects Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Marcedes Lewis to be a key red-zone weapon with wideout Allen Robinson (knee) out for the year.
Robinson went down with a torn ACL in Week 1 and opened up opportunities in the Jaguars' limited passing game. After going without a reception in the first two weeks of the season, Lewis broke out against the Baltimore Ravens, with four catches (on five targets), 62 yards and three scores this past week.
Given the Jaguars' emphasis on the run game, Lewis won't always be a reliable target, but it's clear that he's one of the few red-zone options they got. In this role, he's projected for 2.3 catches, 23.0 yards and 0.25 touchdowns, and costs $4,500 in Week 4.
