JuJu Smith-Schuster passes Eli Rogers as Steelers' slot receiver
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster has passed Eli Rogers on the depth chart, reports ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
The rookie wideout has watched his snap count increase from 25 in Week 1 to 51 in Week 3. Against the Chicago Bears, he was in on 79.7% offensive plays as Rogers' share fell to 32.8% from 65% in Week 1. Whether Smith-Schuster has simply impressed, Rogers has underperformed or a combination of the two, it looks like Rogers is losing his relevance in the Steelers' offensive attack.
There's a small chance that Martavis Bryant (illness) sits on Sunday, so Smith-Schuster may see increased opportunities in Week 4. However, at this point in time, our models have him down for just 1.7 catches, 19.0 yards and 0.10 touchdowns on 3.0 targets. Even at $5,100, his projected 3.4 FanDuel points are just a blip on the DFS radar.
