Akiem Hicks (foot) expected to play for Bears on Thursday night
Chicago Bears defensive lineman Akiem Hicks (foot, questionable) is expected to play Thursday night against the Green Bay Packers, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Hicks was downgraded on Thursday morning, which is never a good sign, but it sounds like he will give it a go for tonight's Week 4 matchup with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Arguably the most important piece of the Bears' defensive front, Hicks has 10 tackles (8 solo), 2 sacks, and 1 fumble recovered this season.
numberFire's models expect Hicks to record 3.6 tackles, 0.4 sacks, 0.1 fumbles recovered, and 0.02 touchdowns in Week 4. The Bears rank 27th in the NFL in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points (NEP) allowed per play and 24th in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP allowed per play.
