Devin Smith full participant in Jets' practice Wednesday
New York Jets wide receiver Devin Smith practiced fully Wednesday, though his status for Week 2 is not known, according to Brian Costello of the New York Post.
Smith suffered a severe rib injury early in training camp, but this is a positive step. Head coach Todd Bowles said earlier in the week that he wanted to see Smith take some hits in practice before putting him on the active roster.
Should Smith be active, he'd have to push Chris Owusu and Quincy Enunwa for snaps. Owusu had the second most targets among wide receivers in Week 1 behind Brandon Marshall. The Jets finished the first week as the 15th-ranked team in our schedule-adjusted Passing Net Expected Points per play.
