Andre Ellington

Andre Ellington leads Cardinals' backfield with 49 snaps on Monday

Arizona Cardinals running back Andre Ellington rushed 5 times for 22 yards and caught 5 passes (8 targets) for 59 yards in Monday's Week 3 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

What It Means:

Ellington led all Cardinals' backs with 49-of-81 (60.5 percent) offensive snaps in Week 3, compared to 31 for Chris Johnson and just 1 for Kerwynn Williams. The passing-game specialist benefitted from Arizona being in catch-up mode for the fourth quarter, but he was clearly the superior back. His upside will be limited, but Ellington could possibly be worth a look as a deeper-league PPR option for owners in need. The Cardinals face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 4.

numberFire's models project Ellington to score 9.0 FanDuel points at a cost of $4,800 in Week 4. He's pegged for 56.7 total yards and 0.19 touchdowns on 10.0 offensive touches (4.6 catches) versus the 49ers, making him the RB36 in our standard weekly fantasy rankings, and the RB29 in our PPR rankings.
