Rob Kelley (ribs) still day-to-day for Washington
Washington Redskins running back Rob Kelley (ribs) remains day-to-day, said head coach Jay Gruden.
Kelley seemed reasonably close to playing in Week 3, so he's likely closer to playing than not against the Kansas City Chiefs next Monday night. Chris Thompson is tearing it up for Washington in the passing game, but after rookie Samaje Perine mustered just 49 rushing yards on 19 carries Sunday, Kelley should step back in as the Redskins' primary option on early downs.
In Weeks 1 and 2, Kelley rushed 22 times for 108 yards (4.9 yards per carry). He's averaging 5.8 FanDuel points per game this season and entered Week 3 with the 7th-most Rushing Net Expected Points per carry among the 29 backs with 20-plus attempts on the year.
